Koolau Golf Club The Nation's Toughest Golf Course. Situated in the luscious foot hills of the Koolau Mountain Range, lies the "Nation's Toughest Golf Course"...Koolau Golf Course. With over 10 acres of gorgeous scenery, you may be overwhelmed by its beauty to play golf. But, don't be fooled by her beauty. The challenge is there, but so are the consequences. At 6,455 yards, par 72, with all of the obstacles, you will definitely tell your friends about this course. After my first time playing here, I felt "beat-up". This is definitely the Toughest course I have played. Some of my favorite (or not so favorite) holes are: The first hole, plays with a slight dog-leg, pretty straight and non-eventful, unless you find your way into the left or right bunker. A very nice hole to start the day.....until the next 17. I think that this is the 2nd or 3rd hole. I apologize, but its been a couple of years since I played this beautiful course. If you have the opportunity to play this course, take a look at the mountains in the background. Today, there is the imfamous "H-3". I will try to update these pages soon with better pictures.
